A Dedicated Community Leader
Jim is Ready to Go to Work as Arlington Heights Mayor!
Where it Began
Jim moved to Arlington Heights when he was in the 4th grade and attended District 25 and District 214 public schools. He and his wife Cindy raised their four (now adult) children in this wonderful community where they were active in youth sports. Jim served for seven years as a member and Chairman of the Arlington Heights Park District Soccer Advisory Committee and a youth travel soccer coach for the Arlington Aces boys and girls teams for more than 13 years.
Jim and Cindy are now extremely proud grandparents to their first grandchild from their son-in-law Ryan and daughter Stephanie, who is a teacher in Arlington Heights.
Public Servant
Prior to being elected to the Arlington Heights Village Board where he is now serving his third term, Jim was appointed to serve on the Arlington Heights Design Commission, where he was both a member and Chairman for 11 years. For nearly 25 years, Jim has utilized his expertise, professional training and skills, along with his strong community ties to help guide smart development that ensures the Village of Arlington Heights remains a wonderful place to live, work, play and celebrate strong family values.
Business Owner / Entrepreneur
Jim founded Tinaglia Architects in Arlington Heights 1991 after becoming a licensed architect. He has been fortunate to design many high-profile buildings and businesses in Arlington Heights, where his office remains to this day.
Being an architect means Jim is obligated to protect the health, safety and welfare of the community. As Arlington Heights’ next Mayor, JIm will utilize his professional expertise and years of experience to always guide the Village toward smart development that maintains and strengthens quality of life for both residents and businesses.
